How to remove bad hits from a credit report?

My partner has recently had quite a few hit’s on his credit report, some were done by scam companies- companies that had no intention of giving him a loan but still checked his credit report regardless.

Also is there anywhere you can check your credit report for free?

We are trying to get credit for a new car and this has left us with nowhere to turn as no company will touch him now with all these hits on his report, and if they will it’s very high amounts of interest!

Is there any way to remove these hits so he can get his good credit back?
Does that company cover the UK also?

If by "hits" you mean applications for new credit, they stay there for two years. In the U.S.,
http://www.annualcreditreport.com gives you one free report per bureau every 12 months.

You can get your credit reports for free from http://www.AnnualCreditReport.com. This is the only source for a free report.

You probably cannot get these hits off his report. You say they were scams, they would say that your partner did not pass their credit requirements. I think that inquiries drop off your credit report in two years or so.
